Cacao products are sourced from Peru, where premium Theobroma cacao is cultivated in its native environment by cooperatives of organic farmers. These growers are trained to use exclusively organic farming methods, avoiding pesticides and chemical fertilizers to preserve both the land and the integrity of the plant.

The cacao beans are found inside the fruit, surrounded by a naturally sweet white pulp. After harvesting, the beans are carefully separated from this pulp and left to ferment for 6–7 days. Following fermentation, they are sun-dried for an additional 3–4 days and then thoroughly cleaned.

Once fully dried, the beans are cracked open to produce cacao nibs. These nibs are then ground into cacao paste (also known as cacao liquor). The paste is pressed to separate the cacao butter from the remaining solid mass, called cacao cake. This cake is finely milled into cacao powder—pure cocoa—retaining the rich nutrients and aromatic essence of Theobroma cacao, revered as the “Food of the Gods.”
